Walking into Tacos Mariachi feels like stepping into a lively fiesta. The colorful decor sets the mood while the enticing aroma wafts through the air, hinting at the culinary adventure that awaits. The star of the menu is undoubtedly their tacos, each adorned with a unique twist that transforms traditional recipes into something extraordinary.
One standout dish is the Octopus Taco, a creation that has garnered rave reviews for its remarkable tenderness and deep, rich flavors. As Chad Johnson enthusiastically shares, it's some of the best grilled octopus he’s ever had—perfectly meaty without an ounce of chewiness. The accompanying range of hot sauces, with varying spice levels, adds that perfect kick to elevate the experience.
But the culinary journey doesn't stop there; each visit feels like an exploration of tastes. Esmir M. couldn’t have put it better when he described their food as “incredibly delicious”. His Thursday Special, featuring the Norteno Taco and Carnitas Taco, combined with Mexican corn and the divine Tres Leche dessert, showcases the quality and freshness of ingredients that Tacos Mariachi prides itself on. It’s an experience that is both familiar and refreshingly unique.
Louie Lopez's exuberance for the Octopus tacos encapsulates the street food vibe this place radiates. He savored every bite of the savory tacos, describing the Mole fries with crema as “so so good”—a perfect companion to the taco feast. And who could resist washing it down with an authentic Mexican Coke made with sugar cane?
Customer service here is as commendable as the food. Friendly staff is always on hand to guide you through the menu, ensuring even first-timers, like Judy Jasso, have a satisfying dining experience. With each visit, Ashley Albright quickly became a loyal patron—her heart set on the pulpo tacos and mole fries that keep her coming back whenever she's in town.
In essence, Tacos Mariachi is not just a taco joint; it’s an experience steeped in flavor and warmth. The perfect blend of quality ingredients and expertly executed dishes make it a culinary achievement in Dallas. Whether you're a taco aficionado or just craving something delicious, Tacos Mariachi is a must-visit that guarantees to leave a lasting impression on your palate.
“ Easy in and easy out. Some of the best grilled octopus I’ve ever had. Not chewy and very meaty. All flavors were right where they needed to be and their three different varying levels of spice hot sauces really put the cherry on top. ”
“ To simply put it: incredibly delicious food. I was really blown away. We tried the Thursday Special, Octopus Taco, Norteno Taco (Chicken), Mexican Corn, Carne Esada Taco, Carnitas Taco, and the Tres Leche dessert. This is not your typical taco joint, the flavors are unique and fresh. They use quality ingredients with incredible flavors. Also, the Horchata drink was really really good. The customer service was on point as well. These guys are featured on Diners, Drives, and Dine-In's for a reason. A must try place. ”
“ OMG, if you come to Dallas, it's a must stop! I heard about the Octopus tacos at tacos Mariachi and been meaning to check it out. Now that I'm leaving Texas for Fla. Decided to head down. The place did not disappoint, street food at its best! The Octopus tacos had cheese and a spicy tasty green sauce. The Mole fries with crema were so so good. All washed down with authentic Mexican coke made with sugar cane. I'm coming back this coming week again. #Winner! ”
“ My favorite taco stop in Dallas! Every time I find myself in town I always stop by for the pulpo tacos and the mole fries. The pulpo taco is so tender and the flavors are so delicious - the best I have had. The mole fries are a must try and the elote is yummy too. But I'm not a fan of the salmon or Tesar taco. Also the staff and owner are very friendly. Quick service. ”
“ Their Camaron al Pesto Taco is defenitely worth a try! Their tacos are delicious, fresh ingredients, of a great quality. Tried Carnitas, Carne Asada, and Smoked Salmon. The Cashier was also kind enough to explain the menu when I mentioned it was my first time in. Overall a wonderful experience, will be back! ”
“ Killer taco spot with street and gourmet option. Friendly staff, fresh ingredients, and good sauces. The pulpo tacos are my go to. It has a large serving of tender octopus and the sauce is herby and full of flavor. The Campechano is basically the Pulpo plus carne asada, shrimp and pico. I tried the mezcal Bloody Mary and it was really well done. Mezcal over vodka all day. I highly recommend if you’re looking for really good tacos in the area bring just street tacos. ”
“ OUTRAGEOUSLY TASTY PULPO AND POLLO AL PASTOR TACOS! This is an awesome taco joint! Super service; Eclectic Setting; and, Everything Tasted was Simply Fabulous! They have own parking lot at back! Three tacos per person for lunch is just right! Closed Mondays! ”
“ Great service, greater people and some of the greatest food in Dallas! The tacos were fresh, tangy, refreshing and very beautifully presented. Very reasonably priced and I will definitely be back! ”
